The Blues Target Matthew Kreuzer

Northern Knights star Matthew Kreuzer, the premier ruckmen in the TAC Cup under-18 competition, looks set to be selected by the Carlton with the number one selection in the 2007 AFL Draft.

In his second season at TAC Cup level, the mobile ruckman is considered the most talented junior Victorian footballer in many years.

The 18 year old Kreuzer has impressed as much for his off-field demeanour as his on field exploits and cuts a very level headed figure despite his massive talent.

Few Knights onlookers have failed to note the remarkable athleticism and agility the 199cm big man displays week in week out.

Kreuzer was also one of the few consistent performers in this year’s Victoria Metro team in the Under 18 National Championships.

With idols such as Dean Cox and Josh Fraser, Kreuzer looks set to be lining up against them in navy blue next season with the Blues known to be unashamed admirers of the budding superstar.

The former St Mary’s junior has established himself as an unbackable favourite to be landed as the 2007 draft’s number one selection.
